Irving Township, Michigan Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.0 square miles (93.3 km²), of which, 35.9 square miles (93.0 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²) of it (0.44%) is water. The Thornapple River runs through the township and there is a dam operated by the Commonwealth Power Company across it in the unincorporated village contained within the township.
