A note from Irving Township’s Clerk Sharon Olson
Irving Township has permanently consolidated two voting precincts which will be effective in the next election being held Tuesday, August 7th, 2018.
This consolidation is beneficial for several reasons, but the biggest is the cost savings at the election itself due to the reduction in amount of new voting equipment recently mandated by the State of Michigan as well as election worker payroll.
What does this mean to you?
- (1) You will be receiving a new voter registration card indicating Precinct 1. However, your driver’s license will still be the only piece of identification needed to vote.
- (2) All residents will vote at the township hall located at 3425 Wing Road (corner of Wood School and Wing Road).
- (3) Absentee voting is available if needed.
Feel free to contact me if you have questions.
